Instead of just using the
Wii to improve counting and eye hand
coordination schools are using the new
Wii Fit to
substitute for recess. I think this is a good and bad idea. The good is that it gets the kids involved that are not in sports and makes them do some sort of
cardio but then again it takes away the team effect and interaction with other students. Kids these days are just sitting in front of a TV playing a video game and not learning how to interact with other kids, if we let them do this during school how would it help the communication between each other?
I think it's interesting for kids have this game to make them active but I still think the most effective form of activities for children is to go the taditional way, which is running around in the yard.
ReplyDeleteI think that wii fit should be used sparingly but it's definitely a way to interest kids in staying fit and active while doing something they enjoy (video games).
