A lot of schools are now using weight lifting as a scheduled class. When I was in school the only weight lifting I had was in a short little section in the middle of winter. Now some schools are having a class devoted to fitness and lifting weights. This could be very rewarding not only in the athletic field but also in the students own health. A lot of kids are becoming over weight and having a class that makes them do something and get in shape. I was walking through my high school gym during a class one day and I noticed almost half of the class sitting out and not participating. I think that everyone should be
involved because it will help them get in shape.
Back at my high school we had weight lifting every week. Sometimes we had checklists we had to complete to prove that we worked with certain types of machines. Like we needed to do something with legs for the day or arms etc. It was very beneficial to know all of the equipment and get the chance to use them on a regular basis.
